IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The NTI is an anti-bruxism training device. The goal is to be able to relax your jaw comfortably, with lips together and teeth resting apart. Treatment time is roughly 6 months with regular use.

Use primarily during the day OR at night. If using at night, use sparingly during the day to relieve acute tension. Excessive use can cause the upper and lower front teeth to move away from each other (~1/50 people)

To use:

  •  3x/day, 10-20min each time, gently tap once every 5-6 seconds.
  • while sleeping.

Discontinue use if

  •  you start to notice the front teeth moving away from each other.
  •  you experience jaw joint pain or tooth soreness while wearing it.
  •  the splint comes off easily.

Do not:

  • bite with heavy force on the splint.
  • wear all day and all night.

To clean:

  •  brush daily.
  • soak in water with 2-3 drops of bleach for 10 minutes every 2 weeks.
